What a whirlwind 2017 was. I started the year off with ticking off a big bucket item; going to Elephant Nature Park in Thailand. I had accomplished something I’d been putting off for years. It spurred me on to tackle something I had been so fearful of. Writing a novel. Not only writing it, but promoting it. Letting people know that I, and my work-in-progress, exist!
I created an outline for my series, started watching AuthorTube, and created my blog. I completed my first draft in only a few months, and celebrated by posting my very first YouTube video. I’m slowly creeping towards 100 subscribers on YouTube, and am closing in on 150 on this blog. It has been a tremendous year.
Last bi-monthly goals focused around my well-being. I’m making well-being my theme of 2018. Writing wise, I had a goal to annotate and prep for draft 2 – and that got a fat, ol’ tick. Click here to read up on how I achieve that.
Now for January & February, 2018 goals:
- Read for at least one hour per day
- Wake up at 5.30am on weekdays
- Drink 8 glasses of water daily
- Practice yoga at least twice per week
- Finish 2nd draft outline
- Redraft at least up to Act 2
- Practice the ukulele at least once per week
- Journal one page per day
- Prepare fresh meals for the week on Sundays
- Remember everyday the things that make me happy and why I live my life the way I do
And a brand new goal/announcement! I will now be posting twice a week. On Tuesday’s I’ll post writing related content, and on Friday’s it will be reading related.
Good luck to everyone for 2018. Hope you are making goals and have something particular in mind. I hope to have “Brittany & Charli: Book1” ready for publication this year. It’s my overarching goal, and every 2 months I will be striving to achieve this with every step.
What’s are your hopes and dreams for this year?
