Joesph (#24 of 365)

This one seems like the beginning of a children’s book. I think I’ll add to this story throughout the year.

Joesph’s long ears pricked. He heard footsteps coming. Loud stomps. His body shook as he curled inwards.

He’d already dealt with Sir Yappikins. The terrier that needs to bath him in licks every time they are together. Now he hopes it’s not the big man. Big man didn’t like him much.

Joesph scrunched his eyes closed and barrelled his head to the grass. Two hands pressed his sides and he was hoisted into the air.

Wrapped in arms he felt a familiar heartbeat. He opened his eyes and nestled against his chest. It was Danny.

“Hello, Good Bunny!”

Joesph’s tail twitched side-to-side, as he thought, “Danny loves me. I think.”
